- Forensic Digital Infrared & Ultraviolet Photography (4-8 Hours in length)
This lecture will introduce the audience to the world of invisible photography, that is, Infrared (IR) and Ultraviolet (UV) Photography.
There will be demonstrations on how IR and UV photography differs from traditional visible light photography, IR and UV applications and, the challenges when using what previously was a very difficult tool (IR and UV) for any skill level of photographer to utilize in the world of forensic photography.
Also to be discussed are the various techniques that can be used while using
invisible energies (IR and UV), and problems that can be encountered with the
equipment and the diverse pieces of evidence to be encountered by any cri-

Specifically, topics to be covered include:
- Infrared & Ultraviolet Photographic Theory
- Filters Used for Infrared & Ultraviolet Photography
- Exposure Issues with Infrared & Ultraviolet Photography
- Focusing Problems with Infrared & Ultraviolet Photography
- Applications for Infrared & Ultraviolet Photography
In this lecture digital infrared cameras and their components will be demons-
trated along with all of its incredible capabilities in performing Infrared Refle-

forensic photography techniques.
In summation, those in attendance will receive a demonstration on how digital
infrared cameras can be used for blood evidence, questioned documents with
obliteration or alterations, faded documents, charred documents, latent
fingerprint enhancements, pattern elimination and many other applications.
